I wouldn't mind being on the list either, if you are taking volunteers.

I'd like to be on the list as well. Fabulous product, can't wait to see the web version.

Stuart et al,

I've been lurking, mostly patiently waiting for the online Pralana. I agree with Shrek when he tells Donkey (paraphrased) "When it's cooked, it's cooked".

In the meantime I read the manual for the PRC Gold. My #1 use of the software will be to model Roth conversions; and specifically, how a Roth plan will be affected by a possible reversion to 2017 tax rates. I'm having a hard time accepting the manual's advice to just plug in a fudge factor.

Is that actually a somewhat reasonable approach for now ? If so, what percentage should be used between the 22%/28% tax brackets ?

And if not, then I cast a vote to add a more rigorous addition to the online calculator before it is released to the common folk like me.

Cheers,

Eric

@abq-goldgmail-com Hi Eric, I'm not sure what you're referring to when you the manual's advice is to just plug in a fudge factor. Are you possibly referring to effective tax rate the tool assumes when converting the tax-deferred balance to an effective after-tax balance?

I went to the manual to grab the sentence I was referring to and could not find it for now.

But I did find this

Year You Expect Tax Law to Revert to Pre-TCJA of 2017.

The provisions of TCJA are approved through the year 2025 (its “sunset year”); however, this control

allows you to specify the TCJA sunset year used by PRC to enable you to do what-ifs with other dates.

Which is exactly what I want -- so I'll go back to being quiet. Thanks!

@plumber1412 We're anticipating a release to about 100 existing users in early July, on a first-come, first-served basis.

@smatthews51 Super! I'll be checking in often to try to become one of those first 100. I've subscribed to this thread in case you give us a heads-up.

@smatthews51 I'd love to try it out (current paid maxfi and new retirement user) hope to be able to use pralana for more detailed retirement plans/execution.

OK, it is July 1st & I asked to be in the beta group back in May. What do I need to do to get started?
