The cost of the excel version is $99. Web version is $119/year.
If I buy the excel verison right now (for $99), how much is the cost to upgrade to the Web version? I hope is is $20?
What are the functions that are available in the excel version that are not available in the Web version?
The only other high-fidelity consumer facing financial planning tool is New Retirement. Pralana is far better, especially now with the expanded capabilities of the Online version. Everything else is crap. Check the price difference between NR and Pralana - it's huge.
Pralana is as good as the "pro" tools I've used as a professional financial planner (MoneyGuide Pro, Right Capital, eMoney) and those cost hundreds of dollars a *month*. It's good to be frugal, but from my perspective, this is an incredible value and we're very fortunate. This is one of those things that, when used correctly saves huge amounts of money over a lifetime.
Nobody tell Stuart now, OK? Our little secret? 🙂
Ok — so when is the web version really going to happen and be available?

Hi, I purchased Pralana Gold 2024 in May 2024. I'm interested in upgrading to Pralana Online ($40). How long will the $40 discount pricing be available (i.e., does that go away when 2025 version is available)? If I upgrade now, will I need to upgrade license in 2025 for renewal price ($89)? And last question, when does 2025 renewal take place, will that be based on calendar year (i.e., Jan 2025) or on anniversary of when I bought PRC2024 (May). Thanks for clarifying pricing!
