(Originally posted in "How-To" forum but received no replies and issues persist - Potentially some questions might be software problems so re posting here for official PRC publisher response)

Working to create Reports and have a few questions...
[Using "Narrow Retired Default Views", no "Tabular Projections" table with more than 10 columns]
[Report in Landscape format]

  1. Output includes several Blank (3 of 18) pages, typically after graphic - Normal?
    Any method to correct?
  2. Can an empty table be omitted from Report?
For instance, "View Mgmt; Contributions = Zero (0) Number of Checks" still results in Blank Report table.
  3. Last column "Purchase of Annuity from..." can't be removed from Accounts Table.
Also Header ("Account Balances") can't be positioned correctly. (see attached)
All "View Mgmt; {Page Name}; Number of Checks" are correct and match Tables/Report EXCEPT Accounts which shows 14 Indicated "# of Checks" with 10 actual checks across all columns and 11 columns in Table. No checks in any "Annuity Purchases" column.
Overall some sort of bug or perhaps corrupt worksheet - Anyone else experience similar?

Thanks,
Bob

Item #3 appears corrected by complete restart of PRC - Fresh Excel "Calculator File" with full reentry of User data and new "Create Export File". Remedy would appear to suggest some type of calculator file and/or exported data corruption. Or perhaps some type of "change" to the "protected" system that could not be easily undone.

Initially the Calculator File was periodically saved after a use session but this practice has been abandoned and all seems to be operating as expected. Note, unfortunately, this work flow appears to negate the advantage of the "Help; User Worksheet" feature as that data is lost without save of the main excel calculator file.

Items #1 and #2 persist.

Would seem that there is some sort of "anomaly" in PRC that causes inconsistencies in the Account View column management. Subtle and unknown cause but clearly recurs under some set of circumstances. Specifically the "Tabular Projections -> View Mgmt; Number of Checks for the Account View" can become incorrect for actual column checks and displayed Table. Additionally the Account view Report contains incorrect Headers for the columns that are "check counted" but are not checked or wanted in Report. Also unknown if other side-effects.

Assuming complete "reset" of PRC as described will correct but not willing to test at this point.

See original post Item #3 and attachment for general idea of issue.

Trying to work around this recurring Tabular Projections/Report issue and noticed that the Excel Note "Help Message" for the "View Mgmt; # of Checks" seems inconsistent with User Manual - Indicating a 14 column Report limit rather than UM stated (Page 155) 10 max.

Note: In the attached screenshot, there are actually only 10 checks in the Accounts View row - The 10 checked correctly display but header includes 4 empty columns. Various permutations of this occur - For instance, 11 checks indicated, 7 actual checks, Table/Report show 7 checked with 4 empty column headers.

(Possible clue from cell Note field: 14 col max in Note - 10 allowed per UM = recurring 4 mystery???)

@bo3b Bob,

Please report suspected issues to me via the problem reports options on the Contact page, and include an export file if possible. I respond to emails every day but only check the forum every several days.

@smatthews51 Just thought other Users might benefit from, or have advice on, observed issues.

As for specifically Item #3 of original post, no need for export file. Simply launch PRC - Go directly (use "built-in" data) to "Tabular Projections" and "Load Narrow Retired Default View" to show "Accounts -> # of Checks = 14" which appears incorrect. Should be 10? Any change to Accounts view from here appears to cause various header, reorder, other issues.

@bo3b Duly noted. I did indeed identify a minor error in that view and will fix it in the next release. Thanks!

@smatthews51 You're welcome. Would also be great if PRC could eliminate blank pages and empty table from a Report. This can be "fixed" with a PDF editor but creates a page numbering issue.
