I do have a question - I noticed that specifying HSA reimbursements to cover incurred medical expenses (using Financial Assets -> Management -> Scheduled Withdrawals Table) does not change the "Healthcare" amount in the column on the Tabular Projections -> Itemized Deductions tab. It's my understanding that healthcare expenses that are reimbursed via an HSA are not deductible, hence it seems the "Healthcare" amounts should be reduced by the amount of the scheduled withdrawal from the HSA in a given year. I am missing something?
@rowekamp363 I believe you're correct in saying that healthcare expenses reimbursed via an HSA are not deductible. We're considering an enhancement that would enable current healthcare expenses to be paid from HSA reimbursements, but that's not the case in the current model. HSA reimbursements do not necessarily have to be taken in the year the expenses are incurred, so the current design is totally flexible in regard to the timing of the reimbursements.
