Hi, I'm getting an unusual result for a single year in my Roth conversion optimization. On the Roth conversion table, it's showing that I'm converting $34,368.

But when I click on the Metric MRI, it shows I'm converting $67,073 instead. This is also what is reflected on my tax form as a distribution/conversion for that year, which is putting me over the FPL limit for ACA.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this a glitch between the conversion engine and the tax form? Thanks, Joe

The Roth Conversion report works in real (inflation adjusted) numbers. The Metric MRI works in nominal (not inflation adjusted numbers). Since the year you are looking at is 20 years out, inflation has made the two numbers quite different.

@ricke Thanks once again, Rick, that was indeed the issue.
