I entered EOY 2024 values for two IRA accounts which belong to me. These are separate from my wife's. She is not subject to RMD, as yet. "Review / Tabular / Cash Flow" shows $18,606. The correct value is three times higher, according to my brokerage and the IRS RMD calculator. Did I miss something?
FYI ... RMD for 2026 and beyond are also far too low.
@pr73734r The RMD amounts shown on the Cash Flow > Withdrawals tab are net of QCDs.
If you click on the RMD numbers you will see the Metric MRI popup that shows how the RMD is calculated. The Metric MRI shows your life expectancy, gross RMD, the QCD amount, and the RMD net of the QCD.
If you go to Build > Expenses >Charity, the first bullet under Notes says:
- QCDs count toward your annual required minimum distribution. RMDs are reduced by the QCD amount.
Hope this explains why your actual/net RMDs are so low during the years that you have QCDs defined.
Your QCD's end in 2032 and in 2033 and beyond, your RMDs revert to the full amount.
Got it. Thanks.
