Solo 401k (self employed) a "personal contribution"?

I have been assuming that a solo 401k traditional contribution (be it ER or EE parts) for a sole proprietor would be entered in Pralana Build > Income > Employment income as a personal contribution. Is this correct, or will it mess up the employment income, fica (i.e."payroll tax") etc?
