I'm starting with about $5M in pretax and $1M in brokerage. My Roth conversion games made sense yesterday, but today the tool says it does not matter whether I do no Roth conversions, up to the 24% tax bracket every year, or some permutation in between. Hmmmmm
I went through my scenario builds and verified that they are identical, so I am sorely confused for now. Any chance I can send a file to Stewart or Charlie for some enlightenment ?
Thanks!
Eric
I sometimes have been guilty of making changes to the amount of conversions and wondering why nothing changed, and then later realized I had disabled conversions. Then I felt very silly.

I'm no doubt capable of doing the same, but not this time. Thanks for the thought. I should have been more careful in my OP and clarified that very small changes *are* happening when I choose different Roth strategies -- to the tune of a couple hundred to a couple thousand dollars of end effective balance differences after 25 years. Nothing like the millions I was seeing before. I looked at the tabular output and noted that Pralana was indeed applying marginal tax brackets between 10% and 35% depending on the Roth conversion strategy.
