Remove “confirm subscription” email

@debrazebra Probably to conform with some rules (laws?) that went into effect in the last few years regarding making people opt-in to emails, to cut down on spam. I'd also vote to remove it, just went through that exercise myself of having to wait for the email and click the link. I don't know that it applies in this case, as we're logged in as known users.
