When perusing forums like bogleheads.org or early-retirement.org, folks will ask for advice when they clearly need an advisor, sometimes you can tell that folks would have too steep of a learning curve to jump in on their own.
I know there are at least a couple of advisors that use Pralana and I would like to be able to steer folks that need help to the forum and let them find those professionals. I was thinking perhaps the Member list could put the advisors at the top (since they have a different software license, maybe the system can find them) or otherwise highlight the advisors so that it's easier for folks that need help to find them.
I think that the Pralana Forum is for the users of PRC to discuss ideas and issues related to the use of PRC amongst themselves. While the "advisors" have posted great information for the rest of us, I am a little leery of opening up PRC as a marketing opportunity. Maybe a separate thread that is clearly labeled for "advisors" or similar instead. Would also need to clearly define what an "advisor" is. Anybody can can themselves an advisor, don't need to be a professional, however you want to define that. Plus, you don't need to be a professional to "know your stuff" 🤓
@pizzaman I agree. Advisors have certain expertise. So do "power users". And there's other skills others might have, like accounting or cpa. Others know the fermentation time for 1% IDY with a biga. (Sorry couldn't resist.) However, I do find it terrific that Pralana lists the advisors who use it under Resources> General Resources > Advisors
