Just signed up for Online Platinum, but Malwarebytes browser guard blocks site. When I ignore and try to continue to site, I get an 1108 error? Windows 11 and Chrome browser. Not very confidence inspiring. Any ideas on what's happening and what I need to do to address?
Thx
Ron
Our subscribers report issues from time-to-time (rarely) about various 3rd party software they have installed giving false positives for phishing. The last report prior to yours was in Jan 2025. When this has occurred in the past, users reported:
- a) the problem did not occur when a different browser is used, and
- b) the Malwarebytes blocking stopped after a day or so.
Googling reveals many complaints from legitimate website operators about Malwarebytes blocking their site from their users.
In the course of researching this, I found this website: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/home/url which is seemingly used by various security researchers to track/investigate suspicious websites. I entered: pralana.online and there are no vendors reporting our site as malicious, for whatever that is worth.
The Pralana security measures are described in the User Manual’s section on Data Security
Below is a transcript of my conversation with a Malwarebytes support person (probably a bot) Kyle. It was frustrating and unproductive.
In the end, the Malwarebytes response is: "Please ask the customer to contact Malwarebytes, in that way, we can check the issue on the device program."

All set now - disabled malwarebytes for the site and all good. Also was able to access without issues from my work computer on chrome so will just chalk it up to windows being weird. Thx for looking into it and the detailed follow up.
