I currently have a scenario with a future inherited TIRA with a large enough balance to handle $20K QCDs for multiple years with all other TDIRAs have zero balances at the time I scheduled these QCDs; however, Pralana is not currently utilizing the Inherited TIRA for the QCD - saying that my QCD is excessive. If I tweak the scenario so that my Traditional TDIRA has a balance during this time frame, then the QCD is taken from that TDIRA. The current Charity Input page's "QCD Source" only allows for owner names to be selected and does not seem to allow me to specify a preference between an owner's Traditional TDIRA and an owner's Inherited TDIRA.
@mdeuser You're correct. Pralana Gold only models QCDs taken from your or your spouse's TD account; not from any inherited accounts. In contrast, Pralana Online models QCDs from inherited TD accounts. Since we consider Pralana Gold to be fully mature at this point, it's not likely that we'll make this enhancement.

Stuart - Thank you for taking a look at my issue. My apologies for not being clearer as to my Pralana environment. I am actually using Pralana online when my future inherited TIRA was not leveraged for QCDs. From what you described, it seems Pralana Online should have taken QCDs from the inherited TIRA - correct? Alas, it is not doing so for me. If you need any more information, I’m happy to provide.
Thanks!
Mark
@mdeuser Might this related thread and recent Pralana update (9/24.1) provide some additional insight?
