The Social Security optimizer doesn’t work for me. The screen is all white squares. I am using PRC2023.3.1. Initially I entered “already Started” for me and my wife. But I considering withdrawing the SS for my wife, so I replaced the “already Started” with a number and the optimizer doesn’t work. What am I doing wrong? Thank, Gaby

I tried it on PRC2023.2.5 and it is working. On PRC2023.2.8 it is not working.

@hecht790 I don't know. I tested this just now with the latest version (3.7) and it seems to work fine and there haven't been any other problem reports. If you'd send me (to mail@pralanaconsulting.com) a representative export file I'd be happy to investigate.

@hecht790 I just did a test on v2.8 with "your" SS already started and the "spouse" SS start set to some age. As you reported, the matrix went all white while the calculations were in progress, but good results were presented when the calculations completed. Regardless, this behavior doesn't exist in the latest version and it appears to work fine.

Stuart, I am sending you an export file of the latest version (3.6.1). Also, the run on PRC2023.2.5 worked but the result was strange. I will send it to you.

Thanks,

Gaby

So, with the advantage of having Gaby's export file to work with I was able to determine that her case (one of the marriage partners was beyond age 70 at the start of the modeling period) was not being handled correctly in the tool. This has been corrected in the latest version.
