Hi Stuart. My Personal Property expenses drop from $60,218 in 2024 to $9,839 in 2025 and $3,718 in 2026 and then back up to $68,392 in 2027 (future dollars). I am still paying my primary home mortgage in both 2025 and 2026. I can't seem to find any other inputs that might cause this results. In addition, my expenses go negative (-$33,461) in 2041. Where should I start to look to troubleshoot? Thank you. Tom M
I removed the purchase and financing of a new car in 2025 and another one in 2026 from the Expenses/Property tab. After doing that the output on my expenses are correct. When I added a new car back in the output for expenses went back down by the amount of the new purchase. So in 2024 my personal expenses were $58,833. In 2025, after buying a car for $60,000, my expenses for 2025 are -$3,389. That seems to be the delta between my actual expenses (~$56,xxx) minus the $60,000 new car.
@martin789 The issue was that the cars to be purchased in the future were specified incorrectly. The "cost basis for property you currently own" needs to be left blank for property to be purchased in the future.
