My yearly expenses are higher than my income so I withdrawl from my IRA to makeup the difference and pay the taxes during the withdrawal. On the balance sheet on PRALANA online, it shows the taxes being paid the following year. Is there a way to have the taxes show paid in same year as a withdrawal occurs?
@nortondjflash-net I'm assuming these are "unscheduled withdrawals" from your IRA and, if so, Pralana always includes those in the AGI for the subsequent year. This is to avoid the very thorny problem of doing iterative tax calculations. We're working on an enhancement for that issue (have been for months), but it's not ready for prime time just yet. A workaround would be to set up scheduled withdrawals for some period of time; taxes for those are always modeled in the year in which the withdrawal occurs.
