A huge kudos for the Review->Tabular Projections->Expenses->Taxes->AGI Detail view where each Roth conversion entry has a handy link! Clicking on the link gives the rationale behind the various constraints and why PRC picked that particular value as a Roth conversion recommendation. This is really educational and valuable so thank you!
Got me thinking that surely, there's other places in PRC where this sort of contextual data will be super-helpful? Can we have "hover" functionality where hovering over a value gives the underlying logic or calculations? Or links with "related" views? At the moment, the data is all there but it's a lot of clicking around to see the whole picture.
Another thing which struck me was that the distinction between "tabular projections" and "graphical projections" is kind of artificial? Surely, that's just a distinction in how we want to visualize the data? Maybe organize it functionally and allow users to jump between tabular and graphical views.
Fantastic job moving all this to the web! I'm sure getting it stable is the first priority but thought I'd put some software design ideas in the hat, will cease and desist if this is all low priority stuff. Thanks!
@rrkaushik There are so many cool hidden nuggets of functionality. I'm still finding them for the book! As far as your ask, enter it into the feedback mechanism in the online tool to get the best attention to it.
@hines202, thank you for the advice, much appreciated! I just found the feedback link and entered some ideas there. Yes, I'm muddling my way through it and finding a few of those valuable side streets in amateur fashion! 🙂
