I'm proud to be the first independent Pralana planner/advisor/consultant. I saw the value very early! Maybe the only one, as Soltiros serves a very specific niche. I think we're on the verge of something big here with Pralana Online, with the burgeoning population of DIY personal finance people, egged on by those with big microphones like Ramit Sethi and Darrow Kirkpatrick/Chris Mamula of caniretireyet.com. There are really only two high-fidelity consumer facing planning tools on the market, with the other one just changing their name to something weird and agnostic, which in my experience is a harbinger of something not good on the horizon. Pralana is better - no connecting accounts, less expensive, very private and secure.

So, that said, due to my advancing age and health issues, I'm going to be looking to step aside somewhere into the new year. If you're interested in picking up the torch and buying Emancipare, let me know. It's a very good value. You don't have to be registered as an advisor to do financial planning. 99% of my business is just helping people build plans using Pralana. But if you want to be registered, it's just a matter of taking the Series 65 exam, which isn't that hard (Pass the 65 book is helpful, as well as online cram flashcard apps).

As is, this LLC is running as a part-time semi-retirement gig for me, but built to quickly scale into six figures pretty easily. All my business is word-of-mouth, no advertising expense, no debt. I've been turning down offers because it's very important to leave my clients in good hands, it's priority #1.

If you're interested, head to emancipare.com/buyer, fill out the confidentiality agreement, and you'll receive a PDF with tons of details. Thanks, Bill
