US Savings Bonds

Could not find any mention of how to treat US Savings Bonds (I Series) as an asset. They don't pay interest every 6 months like most other types of bonds, but they do have a maturity. How to specify year we intent to redeem also?

You could just put your basis in your cash accounts total, and when you get "paid" upon redemption, put that as a windfall.
