As advertised, we are again temporarily suspending sales of Pralana Online as part of our plan to roll it out slowly. Things are going well and the majority of the feedback items we're receiving now are related to requests for enhancements and new features. We plan to take one to two weeks to deal with the backlog of feedback we've received, and then we will probably open up sales to all comers.

@smatthews51 Can you advise via email when you start the next leg of the roll out, I missed the first two. Thanks.

@smatthews51 I, too, received an email on March 9 about the coming rollout, and then haven't gotten another update (that I'm aware of, anyway) about the progress. I am pretty sure I elected to receive a newsletter when I originally purchased Pralana Gold, but the only way I'm aware of what's going on with everything is if I log into the forum and check the latest posts. Am I missing updates that are going out, or is this just how you're handling it for now? Is there a setting I need to change somewhere to be proactively informed? Thanks.

@tcbarney Hi Todd... I signed up to receive email notifications on all FORUM posts so I wouldn't miss the next open window. I've actually been enjoying the forum inputs on other topics. There are only a few per day... easy to determine if the topic pertains to my situation to warrant further digging. Cheers!

@smatthews51 I am really looking forward to when sales are open to all comers. I received an email on March 9, 2024, about the estimate for May 2024. I know how hard you and your team are working on the online version. I am ready to purchase!

Well, it's taking a bit longer than anticipated to work off some small issues with the user interface and to add some new features suggested by our early users. We want to ensure that the tool is solid before going live with sales again, and it shouldn't be too much longer.

Stuart,

Will that 1 to 2 week timeline also include "unlocking" the iterative calculations referenced below. It is, perhaps, the feature I am most looking forward to with Pralana Online. I am in my two year Medicare AGI look-back tax year, while also doing Roth conversions. Birthday in August, so more conversions/higher IRMAA for 5 months, then dial down next year.....or not so much? Looking forward to easily (?) finding the sweet spot(s) with this feature. Thx.

Any such withdrawals from tax-deferred accounts are a taxable event; however, the taxes for the year in question will have already been calculated and iterative tax calculations are required to properly determine the total taxes for this case. Pralana Online is designed to do these iterative calculations but that capability is not enabled in the initial release.

@mullins343 Craig, dealing with numerous small issues and enhancements has prevented us from getting to the iterative tax calculations. So, that's going to be delayed a bit longer but it is high on our priority list of things to do.

@mullins343 Hi Craig, it's high on Charlie's to-do list right now but fails to get to the top of the list due to seemingly more important enhancements and fixes. The problem is that it's complex and time-consuming and will require several days of his undivided attention to accomplish. I'm hoping that he's able to get on it soon.

@db We've been taking the time to address a number of minor improvements. It should be within the next week.

I purchased in Apr 2024. Is there a way to import / upgrade to the most recent release? Better yet, when will I be able to transition to the online version?

@gumby83 Yes. Just login, go to the Members page, and click the button for PRC2024 Updates. The online version is expected to be available for sale again by September 21.

@smatthews51 Is there a way to get an update via email when the online version is available? I'm pre-reading a book by Bill Hines and can't get past Chapter 2 without the online version.

@mcgpolo202 It's available now, so please visit the Get PRC page of the Pralana website to make the purchase. Thanks!
