I just for the online version, entered my assets but I'm not sure what I need to do next, it feels like I should tell Pralana about my expenses Needs (you know, groceries, and utilities and maybe even things like property taxes) and my wants (travel...).
@diymaniac I'd strongly suggest that you spend some time with the user manual. It does a pretty good job, IMHO, of answering this question. You can download a PDF version from the Manuals page of the Pralana website or you can bring it up in a separate browser window by simply clicking the UM icon on the upper right side of every page in the online tool.

@diymaniac Another option might be to take a look at the Bill Hines book, Plan Your Money Path, for a complete and sequential walk through of an example plan using Pralana.
@chrisb , Thanks for that suggestion. I am going to try the book. I have been a bit overwhelmed looking at the users manual, so maybe the book will be easier for me.
Interestingly when I tried to access the response to my post above, I got an notification that I was banned and needed to contact the admin. Glitch I guess?
thanks for the answers, I didn't see a link to the manual from the tool itself, but I found it on the web page.
@diymaniac Yes, the forum tool does ban users from time to time for reasons that are not always obvious. I try to stay on top of that and unban them asap.
I also realized there is a little "UM" icon (in green) at the top right that opens the user's manual. I had missed that.
