Just got Pralana Gold Online and went to import the previous Excel file (From Pralana Gold Excel), but keep getting the error message ""my file name".xlsx is not a valid Pralana Gold export file". Can't find any guidance on what is an acceptable format.

@stewretire It needs to be either a PRC2023 or PRC2024 export file. If your file meets these criteria and is getting the error, please let me know.

@stewretire Thank you for subscribing. I am sorry you are having trouble importing your PRC Gold export file.

I see you have PRC2024 gold subscription. There are some validations to prevent people from uploading unknown files to our servers. Two of those validations are the file extension and the file size. The full PRC Gold .xlsm tends to run about 8MB+ while the .xlsx export files run +/- 160KB. What is the file size of your export file??

@cstone My file is 8.8MB and has the "xlsm" extension. I also tried to save it as a xlsx type file, but it gave me some warning about loss of certain functions. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

@stewretire The 8.8 MB file is the actual calculator file; not the export file. You can create an export file by clicking "Create Export File" on the red band on any page of the calculator and it will create a file containing just your data. That's what you'll need to migrate your data into Pralana Online.

@stewretire Hopefully you got it sorted. Just open Pralana Gold/Excel and use the menu option Create an Export File. That's what you want to import into Pralana Online, so use that exported file.
